Gate Automation (FAAC, CAME, GIBIDI)

Motorised systems for sliding, swing, bi-fold and cantilever gates, specified to gate weight, duty cycle and site exposure. Powered gates require site-specific risk assessment, safety checks and ongoing maintenance planning. Scope includes
  • Safety devices and configuration
  • Commissioning and handover notes

Gates & Railings Installation

Custom-engineered wrought iron style and modern steel gates, security railings and decorative designs. Guarding and barrier performance commonly references Approved Document K and BS 6180 for barrier design context.

Balcony Fabrication (Juliet, glass, cantilever, perforated)

Juliet balconies, glass balustrades, cantilever styles and perforated metal panels built to structural load requirements and fixing substrates. Guarding principles align with Approved Document K, with barrier design guidance commonly referenced through BS 6180.

Powder Coating (anti-corrosion + UV stable)

Durable finishes for gates, railings, balconies, staircases, doors, fencing and fabricated components. QUALICOAT Class 2 (“super-durable”) systems are widely used for improved UV resistance on architectural applications.

Common finish choices

  • RAL colours, matt/satin/gloss
  • Exterior-grade systems for exposure

Metal Fencing Installation (palisade, mesh, vertical bar railings)

Secure fencing systems including palisade, welded mesh and vertical bar railings, supplied galvanised or powder-coated.

Standards commonly referenced

  • Steel palisade fencing: BS 1722-12
  • Anti-intruder welded mesh: BS 1722-10

Planning note (height limits)

Planning Portal guidance sets typical permitted development height limits for fences/walls/gates at 1m next to a highway used by vehicles (or its footpath) and 2m elsewhere (subject to exceptions).

Materials and Finishes

  • Materials: mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium.
  • Galvanising: coating requirements and test methods commonly reference ISO 1461.
  • Powder over galvanised (duplex): powder organic coatings on galvanised steel commonly reference BS EN 13438.
